Vent: That viral "Drink 8 glasses of water a day" article is total junk science

Compared my own pee color log over 2 weeks against the article's claims, and my doctor in Phoenix said there's zero evidence for the 8 glass rule, so why do news sites keep pushing it as fact without citing a single proper study?

Hold on @stellat46, I gotta call this out. A pee color log for two weeks? That's a bit extreme, don't you think? I mean, yeah, the 8 glasses thing is probably overhyped, but turning bathroom breaks into a science experiment is a whole other level. You're basically saying your doctor is right, then proving it with a high school biology project. Just drink when you're thirsty, it ain't that complicated. The article was junk, but this is taking the junk personally.
