The viral video of a 'floating tiny home' in Seattle turned out to be a $40 tarp trick and I spent 2 hours on it
Last week my cousin sent me this video that had like 3 million views, some cabin on a lake near Seattle that looked like it was floating on its own with no supports, and the caption swore it was a new kind of foundation that let you build anywhere. I got kind of obsessed, watched it like ten times, even pulled up the address from the comments. Then I noticed something weird on frame 612, the shadow under the deck didn't move the same way the water did. I zoomed in and there was a gray tarp tucked under the whole thing plus some foam blocks, and honestly I felt dumb for not catching it sooner. I posted the side by side in a comment and the original creator deleted my reply within an hour. So now I check the shadows first before I believe anything that looks too cool. Did anyone else get fooled by this one, or is there a video you're still mad you fell for?
