Paid $40 for a 'pro' resume rewrite, got back word salad with typos

I ordered a rush service from a random site last week because I was desperate before a big application deadline, and the file they sent me had my old job listed as 'professional synergy operator' instead of what I actually did. The whole thing read like they fed my info into a blender with buzzwords, and I caught three misspellings including my own last name. Anyone else get burned by these online resume places or do I just have terrible luck with internet services?

Got scammed by one of those too. Paid $65 and the guy turned my cashier job into "customer experience architect" and claimed I "led cross-functional teams" when I just worked the register. My summary said I was "passionate about driving results in fast-paced environments" which tells a recruiter exactly nothing. Worst part was they left in a line from some other person's resume about forklift certification I never had. I called and the guy got mad at me for complaining. So no, your luck isn't bad, that whole business is full of people who just swap words around and hit send.
