Swapped my injector puller for a slide hammer and saved 3 hours on a 6.0
Tbh I used to fight with those bolt-on injector pullers for years on the 6.0 Powerstrokes. Last week in my shop outside Omaha I had a stuck #3 injector that would NOT budge, after about 45 minutes I gave up and grabbed a $40 slide hammer from the truck. Honestly it popped that thing out in under 10 minutes with zero drama. I know the puller kits are supposed to be the 'proper' way but the slide hammer just transfers force way better when corrosion gets in there. Has anyone else ditched the fancy tools for something simpler and it just worked?
