Screenshot folder hit 4,000 images and I finally cleaned it out
So I was digging for one specific receipt from last March for a return and realized my phone's screenshot folder had 4,100 images in it. That's like 3 years of random captures, memes, error messages, and those stupid confirmation pages for things I already forgot about. The kicker was when I scrolled back and saw a screenshot of a text conversation from 2022 that I literally screenshot just to remember a dentist appointment time. I spent a whole evening sorting them into keep, delete, and maybe piles, and after 6 hours I got it down to 250 actual useful ones. The cleanup freed up like 14 GB on my phone which was wild. My battery life even got better because the phone wasn't choking on all that junk in the gallery. Now I try to delete screenshots within 48 hours but I still have 800 sitting there from last week alone. Has anyone else hit this weird wall where you can't throw away digital junk until it becomes a mountain?

Wait, 4,100 screenshots and it actually slowed your phone down? I thought that was just a myth, like leaving apps open in the background. That's wild that a folder full of junk could tank battery life like that.
