That cloud storage TOS update last week hit different

I read the new terms while waiting for my truck's oil change in Fresno and realized my 8 years of family photos are now fair game for AI training if I keep the free tier. Deleting 14,000 files feels like throwing away memories, but keeping them feels like handing over my kids' faces to a machine. Anyone else actually read theirs and feel like you need a lawyer just to use a photo backup app?

That cloud storage TOS update last week hit different" is the perfect way to put it honestly. But I gotta gently push back on one thing: they're not training on your photos just because you have the free tier. I read the fine print too, and it's mostly about metadata and stuff they already have, like file sizes and upload times. The scary part is the clause that says they can if they ever change the wording again, which is basically a trap. So you're not wrong to be nervous, but deleting everything might be jumping the gun. Maybe just move the really personal shots to a drive you actually own and keep the rest for now.
