My landlord fixed my leaky faucet in 10 minutes but took 3 weeks to respond about my broken AC

Last July in Phoenix, my kitchen faucet started dripping and I put in a maintenance request. Landlord showed up the next day, fixed it in under 10 minutes, no fuss. Then the AC unit went out when it was 112 degrees outside, and it took him 3 weeks and five phone calls to even send someone out. I get that drips are annoying but sweating through 3 weeks of 90 degree indoor temps felt a little lopsided. Has anyone else noticed landlords jump on cosmetic stuff but drag their feet on the things that actually ruin your day?

Hang on, THREE WEEKS for an AC in Phoenix in July? I had to read that twice. That's not just slow, that's borderline dangerous. You could have ended up in the hospital with heatstroke waiting that long. Landlords get away with this stuff because they know fixing a leaky faucet looks good on paper, but the AC is expensive and they hope you'll just give up. Honestly, I'd be tempted to withhold rent or at least threaten to call the health department over that.
