Just finished my 500th shoeing job at the county fairgrounds

It was a big draft horse named Gus, and his owner said the fit was perfect. I started keeping count about three years ago, and hitting that number made me feel like I'm really getting somewhere in this trade. Anyone else keep track of their jobs like that, or is it just me?

I only keep track of my screw-ups, and I'm well past 500. It's a less fun but equally motivating number. Congrats on the REAL milestone.

Hey, at least your system has a built-in humility check. Mine's just a list of things I've sworn at.
