The $12 laptop I bought for parts actually boots

Grabbed a beat-up ThinkPad at a Goodwill in Akron for parts, figure I'd strip the RAM and screen. Plugged it in on a whim and the thing fired up with a 10 year old Windows install still on it. Now I'm wondering how many of these 'broken' listings are just missing chargers or dead batteries, anyone else strike gold like that?
