inUnpopular take but skip the draping step on simple knit tops
Oh I feel you on the draping thing. I actually tried draping a knit top once and it ended up so stretched out and wonky I just threw the whole piece of fabric in the scrap bin. What REALLY changed my whole approach was when I started using washable glue sticks to hold my hems in place instead of pins. The pins always made the fabric bubble up on me and the glue keeps it flat for cutting. I know that sounds crazy but it actually works for stretchy stuff because you don't get any distortion. My last 3 rayon spandex tops came out looking store bought and I didn't drape a single inch of them.

inBack in 2019 I was drowning in unpaid invoices and a friend told me to start charging half up front
@the_oliver mentioned clients walking away. I've had a few bail too. But the ones who stay actually value my time.

inSkeptical about that CRM my partner pushed on us - 6 months later I'm eating my words
Did you ever try to get Mike to pay for the first month since he was the one pushing it? I fought my own partner over a scheduling tool last year and felt like a fool when it actually solved the same problem you had with follow ups. Nothing worse than eating crow but at least the numbers shut us up for good.

inFrozen vs. fresh Brussels sprouts in the air fryer - my big experiment
Hold up, I gotta disagree hard here. Fresh sprouts are way better if you know what you're doing. Frozen ones get that crispy exterior but the inside turns mushy and watery, like a sad little sponge. With fresh, you can cut them in half, toss them in oil and garlic, and air fry them at 400 for 12-15 minutes and they come out perfectly roasted all the way through, firm on the inside. Plus fresh ones actually taste sweet and nutty instead of that frozen blandness. I've done this like 20 times, fresh always wins.
