inBurned my third sourdough loaf in a row last night
Oh man I swear my oven has been gaslighting me for a decade. I used to think I just sucked at baking but nope it was my oven lying about the temp the whole time. Now I have to set it 25 degrees lower than what the recipe says or I get a burnt crust on everything. My sourdough loaves still come out ugly though so maybe it's just me at this point.

inDebate: front load vs top load washers - which one do you hate fixing less?
Exactly. The control board and drain pump are way more common failures. But here's the thing. When the lock does fail it's a nightmare because you can't even open the door to bail out the water. So the lock gets labeled as a common issue because it leaves you stranded. Plus those rubber gaskets trap moisture and the lock housing gets corroded over time. That's not really the lock's fault but it still makes people think they're junk. And yeah the suspension springs are total garbage now. Had a set snap at 18 months on a brand new machine. Didn't even have that problem on my old one from 2015.

inFeedback on my last breakdown video changed how I analyze eye movements
Picked up exactly what you're saying. That kind of feedback is gold because it forces you to look at something you'd normally gloss over. I had a similar moment when someone told me to watch a suspect's blink rate during a police interrogation video. The guy blinked like crazy when they asked about his alibi but stayed dead still when they talked about something innocent. After that I started timing blinks in every breakdown I do and it opened up a whole new layer. That one comment basically rewired how I watch these videos now. It's wild how one small detail can flip your whole interpretation.

inGot called out by a foreman in Gary for my torch technique
Walked into a job site once thinking I was hot stuff with a torch and had a guy twice my age show me I was basically just wasting gas for fun. Felt like a total rookie but hey, at least the slag cleanup got way easier after that.

inMy drill chuck gave out mid-screw on a deck job last Tuesday
Nah it was more of a Saturday thing but close enough. That's wild though, I've had drills die on me before but never the chuck itself just nope out like that. Usually they start rattling a bit or getting loose over time before they fully go. Maybe you got a bad one from the factory or something. Portland weather probably didn't help if you left it out in the rain before.
