TIL the old "Home of the Future" at the 1964 World's Fair in Queens got bulldozed 6 months after it closed
I was killing time reading about the site in Flushing Meadows and found out that whole house, the one millions of people waited in line for, was torn down less than a year later. It felt weird standing where the crowds used to be, thinking about how fast a thing can go from a big deal to nothing at all. Does anyone know of other spots like that where a huge attraction just vanished with barely a trace?
