I spent 6 months hand typing every prompt until a Reddit comment about a 400 word template clicked for me
I used to sit and retype the same setup instructions into an AI chat every single time I started a new task, and I honestly thought that was just how it worked. Last Tuesday I read a comment in a thread about reusable system prompts, and it hit me that I was wasting maybe 20 minutes a day on copy pasting the same four paragraphs. I tested it by writing one saved prompt in a plain text file and pasting it in before every question for a week, and the answers were way more consistent. So now I keep a little folder of prompt notes on my desktop, still messy but getting better. Has anyone found a simple way to organize these so you don't forget which one goes with which task?
