Serious question, my drone's AI scan picked up a tree issue I totally overlooked
Last Thursday, I was surveying a client's yard and decided to test this AI feature on my drone that analyzes vegetation health. It highlighted a patch on a maple that looked fine to me, but upon closer inspection, there was early decay. Now I'm curious if these tools are game-changers or just hype. What's your experience with AI in field work?

But how often does that AI really help compared to just making more work for you? It can find stuff we don't see, but it also sets off a lot of false alarms. You probably have to figure out when to listen to it and when not to.

No way, AI found decay you overlooked?

Actually it's more like the AI flagged something super subtle on the scan that turned out to be nothing. These tools are really sensitive, so they pick up every little shadow or blur. It's a helper, not a replacement for someone knowing what they're looking at. The real skill is still knowing when to ignore the false alarms.
