Spent Tuesday in Denver watching a robot arm sort recycling and it beat the humans at the line
My cousin works at a plant in Denver and got me a tour on Tuesday, and this vision system with two arms picked out clear plastic and metal cans faster than the four guys on the belt. It did about 60 picks a minute while they do maybe 25, and it never got tired or missed a pizza box lid. The weird part was the crew standing around watching it, not mad, just sort of quiet. Is anyone else seeing these vision guided arms show up in real jobs yet, or is it still mostly demos?
