Can we talk about using parchment paper liners in air fryers

I used to spend 20 minutes scrubbing my air fryer basket after every batch of chicken wings because the sauce would always burn on. Then I bought a pack of parchment paper liners with holes from the grocery store like 2 months ago and now cleanup takes maybe 30 seconds. Have you guys tried these or do they mess with the airflow too much?

Different experience here. Those parchment liners with holes almost ruined my last batch of fries. I put them in and the paper lifted up and got sucked into the heating element. Smelled like burning paper for ten minutes and the fries came out uneven, some burnt and some still raw. Your mileage may vary of course but for me, the extra scrubbing is worth not dealing with that mess. I just spray the basket with oil before cooking and most stuff wipes right off while it's still warm.

Yeah I read some review somewhere where someone said the paper liners can float up if the food is too light. They recommended putting something heavy on top but that kinda defeats the purpose. I just use foil now if I really need a liner but normally just spray the basket too.

Omg the same thing happened to me with those liners but with chicken wings instead of fries. The paper totally floated up and stuck to the heating coil, I had to unplug the whole thing and wait for it to cool down before I could pick the burned bits off. Scared me enough that I just threw the rest of the pack away and went back to spraying the basket with avocado oil before each use.
