Check your air fryer basket clips before Sunday meals

I used to toss chicken wings in at 400°F for 25 minutes without a second thought, but last week in Austin one of the plastic clips melted into my basket mid-cook and ruined a whole batch plus filled my kitchen with smoke. Now I pop the basket out and squeeze every clip before every single use, takes maybe 15 seconds, has anyone else had a clip fail on them after months of normal use?
