Am I the only one who thinks you should sometimes swing the load a little on purpose?
I know everyone says to keep the load dead still, but on a job in Tacoma last month, we had to set a heavy AC unit on a tight rooftop. The spotter's view was blocked by a vent stack. I gave the load a small, controlled swing to get it past the obstacle, then let it settle. It saved us at least an hour of repositioning the truck. I'm not talking about wild swings, just using the pendulum to your advantage when you have a clear plan. Has anyone else found a safe time to use a bit of swing on purpose?
