One comment about my soggy wings changed my whole coating game

Last month I posted a photo of my air fryer wings and someone said they looked like they came out of a steam basket. They were right. I was doing the classic cornstarch trick but I wasn't letting the wings rest after coating them, so the moisture just ruined the crisp. Now I coat them, then leave them in the fridge uncovered for 20 minutes before they go in at 400F. Night and day difference. Anyone else got a small tweak that made a huge jump in texture?
