Was ready to give up on air fryer fish until this trick

I kept messing up fish in the air fryer. It always stuck to the basket or came out too dry. I tried different types like tilapia and salmon, but no luck. Then I saw a tip about spraying a bit of oil on the fish before cooking. I gave it a shot, and it came out crispy without sticking. Now I enjoy perfect fish fillets every time. Such a small change that saved my dinners.

Oh man I feel that struggle! I was about to toss my air fryer out the window over the same thing. That light oil spray is a total game changer, it makes all the difference between a mess and perfect crispy skin. I do it on both sides now and never have to scrape fish off the basket anymore. Seriously such a simple fix for what felt like a huge problem.

Totally, spraying a little oil made my salmon come out perfect every time now.

Actually spraying oil on both sides can make the skin less crispy.

That "perfect crispy skin" happens because the oil helps the heat transfer way better. It basically fries the surface fast so it doesn't just steam and stick. You end up with way less cleanup too.
