Serious question, does anyone else solder zone wires at the panel or just twist and screw them?
Twisted and screwed for 8 years on maybe 400 panels. Never had a call back. Switched to soldering pigtails 3 years ago after a service tech in Tucson showed me his splice box, and now half my installs take 20 extra minutes per zone. Some guys tell me solder joints crack in attics from heat cycling, others swear crimp connectors fail way more. What are you all doing on a standard 4 zone house panel?
