Deleted my TikTok after one weird week of viral repeats

Last month I kept seeing the same 3 cooking videos resurface with different captions. One was a pasta hack, one was a pancake flip fail, and one was a guy cleaning a cast iron. Each got millions of views again even though the original clips were from 2022. I dug into the upload dates and realized the algorithm was recycling proven winners because engagement dips on new content. That convinced me the platform cares more about safe retries than fresh ideas. Has anyone else noticed this pattern with older clips suddenly blowing up again?

Honestly that "safe retries" part really hit me because I feel like I've been losing my mind noticing the exact same thing. It's wild how a video from years ago can suddenly pop up in my feed like it's brand new, and the captions are always trying to trick you into thinking it's fresh. I get why they do it for views, but it makes the whole app feel kinda hollow and predictable.
