I left a silly video up and ignored it, then it popped off after the algorithm found it months later
Seeing that delay makes you wonder how much of going viral is just waiting for the right algorithm push.

That delay making you wonder about the algorithm is so relatable. I once posted a joke video that only got views when a meme page reposted it half a year later.

Ngl, tagging meme pages like @david_reed22 said can help, but it's not a magic fix. I've had videos with tags that did nothing until the algorithm decided to push them months later. So really, it's about waiting for that right moment as much as making good stuff.

Honestly, I don't buy that it's all about waiting for the algorithm to pick you. Sometimes a video is just good and connects with people. My friend made a video about a funny thing her cat did and it spread because people sent it to each other, not because some page shared it. The algorithm helps, but you can't just post garbage and wait for it to get popular. It still needs to be something people actually want to watch and share.
