Just realized hashtags in captions get throttled but hashtags in comments don't
Tried both on the same photo for a local food bank event last week, and the comment version hit 3x the reach with zero extra effort. Has anyone else seen this split on their own accounts, or is it just my niche?

Same thing happened to me with a small bakery account I run on the side. Posted their weekly special with hashtags in the caption, got maybe 200 views. Next week put the exact same tags in the first comment instead, and it jumped to 600. It's like the algorithm treats the caption as part of the sales pitch but the comment feels more like a conversation starter. Kind of reminds me of how people skip past the big sign in a store window but will stop to read a handwritten note taped to the door. The hidden stuff just feels more real, you know?
