My cousin's dumb dance video hit 2 million views on TikTok while my 3 hour fishing tutorial got 47
I checked both uploads every night for 2 weeks straight and the dance one kept climbing while mine stayed flat around 40 views, even though mine had better lighting and way more effort. I finally noticed TikTok was pushing his clip to people who never watched dance stuff at all, because the app cared way more about who watched it all the way through than who actually searched for it. So how do you get a real tutorial in front of people when the app only rewards stuff nobody has to understand?
