Skipped 14 episodes of One Piece thinking it was all filler, then a guy at the Houston con showed me his notebook
I put off One Piece for almost 3 years because everyone kept saying the pacing falls apart after the timeskip. Last month at a con in Houston, this guy at the manga table pulls out a spiral notebook where he tracked every episode and marked which chapters each one covered. He showed me that roughly 40 percent of what I thought was filler actually sets up stuff 200 episodes later. I watched 14 of those episodes in one weekend and he was right, it all mattered. I felt kind of silly for trusting a random comment section over someone who actually did the work. Anyone else keep a tracking sheet like that for a long series, or am I the only one late to this?
