Still miss the old crunchyroll forum format from like 2010

I swear back then you could have a whole thread debating subs vs dubs without someone screaming at you in caps. These new platforms feel like everyone's just yelling past each other trying to get likes. Anyone else remember when people actually finished a conversation instead of ghosting after one reply?

Nah, sorry, this is nostalgia goggles talking. Old forums were full of the same crap - people just took longer to ignore each other because they had to wait for their dial-up to load. Ghosting was just called 'getting bored and moving on' back then. The sub vs dub debates were the same echo chamber nonsense, just slower. New platforms are better because you can actually find people who agree with you faster without wading through fifty pages of the same argument.

angela_hart saying "New platforms are better because you can actually find people who agree with you faster" - wait, you think that's a good thing? That's literally the problem. You're just building a box for yourself. No one challenges you. I miss when you had to scroll past ten pages of someone calling your favorite show garbage before you found a buddy. Made the connection feel earned. Now it's just... empty validation.
