I tried the dollar bill trick on a dryer that wouldn't heat and the customer's kid thought I was doing magic
Had a dryer in a house off Maple Street that kept shutting off after 10 minutes, and the vent was packed solid with lint. I pulled the whole thing apart, cleaned it out, and to prove the airflow was good I held a dollar bill up to the exhaust, and it stuck flat against the wall like it was glued there. The lady's 7 year old came around the corner right at that moment and asked me to do it again, so I did, three more times. What I learned is that simple airflow test sells the repair better than any meter reading, and now I keep a couple of ones in the truck just for the show. What's your go to way to show a customer the fix actually worked?
