Showerthought: a trowel scrape at a dig near Mesa made me rethink my whole patio project
Was volunteering on a dig last month where a volunteer sliced right through a charcoal layer because she scraped flat instead of skimming, so we re-recorded the whole square in 20 cm sections. Anyone else ever watch one sloppy move change how you dig at home?
