Stacking frames last month finally made me see the point of narrowband

Three years ago I thought narrowband filters were just for rich guys with 6 inch refractors, but last month I shot the Veil Nebula with my 80mm scope and used the same 8 hours of data I'd been ignoring. After I stacked just the Ha frames in Siril, the wispy structure showed up like it was daytime, and that convinced me my old broadband shots were leaving half the detail on the table. Anyone else switch their workflow after comparing their raw RGB against a single narrowband channel?

Tossed my old RGB frames in the trash after seeing what Ha can do on the Veil. The wispy parts just pop out way better, like someone turned the lights on. My 8 hours of broadband looked flat and muddy next to it. Stacking the narrowband stuff first is the move from now on.
