I finally saw a fan get kicked out of a con for being too intense

I was at Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle last year, waiting in line for a voice actor's autograph. This guy behind me started yelling at a kid for having a bootleg figure, saying he was 'ruining the hobby.' Security came over after about five minutes of this, told him to calm down, and he just got louder. They ended up escorting him out. It made the whole line super awkward and quiet. Do you think cons should be stricter about policing fan behavior, or is that going too far?
