Just realized my credit union round-up trick actually dinged my rental application
Honestly I set up that round-up thing on my checking account back in March to build a little savings cushion, figured it couldn't hurt. Two months later I put in an application for a duplex in Cleveland and the property manager said my account had a bunch of tiny skipped transactions that looked like bounced payments to their system. I had no clue those $2 and $3 auto transfers were showing up like that. Had to call the bank and get a letter saying my account was in good standing. Has anyone else had a small auto transfer mess with how a landlord reads your bank statements?
