inOverheard a neighbor say their HOA fine was 'the cost of doing business'
So you think everyone should have to fix their stupid mailbox just because some HOA board member decided it's an eyesore on a Tuesday?

inSaw a tweet claiming $5 footlongs are coming back to Subway and called my old manager
My buddy once drove to three different Burger Kings for a Halloween Whopper that didn't exist.

inThe Wahl vs. Oster debate finally settled in my shop after a rough week
Doesn't it seem like people mix up brand names and model numbers all the time? I see it with cars and phones too everyone just lumps things together.

inFinally stopped using a shop vac for ash cleanup after 8 years
Nah, I'm on the other side of this. @olivia_lopez98 probably wouldn't agree with me, but I've been using a regular shop vac for ash for like 12 years now and never had an issue. Just let the ash sit for a day or two before you vacuum it up, that's all it takes.

inHit 10,000 rivets set without a single double-hit last week and I'm still weirdly proud about it.
Huh, funny you mention that. I actually read this article a while back about how professional musicians and athletes train differently once they realize they're close to a personal record. Something about the brain switching from automatic to manual mode and messing up the rhythm. That's exactly what happened to me when I got to around 8,500. I started paying way too much attention to each hit and my timing got all thrown off. Had to literally step back, take a breath, and force myself to just work like normal. The weird thing is, once I stopped thinking about it, the last 1,500 flew by without me even noticing. That article said it's called "analysis paralysis" and it's a real thing for people who do repetitive precision work.
