Spilled a whole bottle of PVA on Tuesday and I'm still scraping it off my cutting mat
I was gluing up a spine for a rebind on Tuesday night and knocked over a fresh 8oz bottle of PVA, which spread under the whole mat and soaked into a stack of endpapers I had just cut. I spent two hours peeling dried glue off the mat with a spatula and had to recut every endpaper, putting me three days behind on a wedding gift book. Does anyone have a glue bottle holder or a trick to keep this from happening again?
Oh man, PVA is water soluble so you didn't have to scrape it dry... a wet rag and some warm water would've softened it right up. The trick for next time is actually wax paper under the bottle or a cheap silicone mat, glue just peels off those. Good luck with the wedding book, three days is rough.
