Downspout drainage was pointed at my foundation for 4 years
After heavy rain last month, I found water pooling under my crawlspace in Decatur. My neighbor walked over and asked why my downspout let out right against the slab, near the corner of the house. I had the dirt graded wrong too, so the water just sat there. Who else has had to fix a basic gutter or grading issue that took way too long to notice?

Man that grading stuff sneaks up on you. Mine was the same thing, water ran back toward the house for years and I never put two and two together until the wood under there started smelling musty. Fixed the downspout with a cheap extension and regraded that corner in an afternoon, and the pooling stopped right away.
