My HVAC guy in Smyrna told me to just hose off my condenser coils and I owe him a six pack now
I had a guy out to look at my AC in Smyrna two weeks ago because it was running nonstop and my July bill hit $310. He hosed off the condenser coils in the backyard, maybe 10 minutes of work, and told me to do it every spring and skip the $150 service plan I'd been paying for 3 years. The unit's been running way less since and my latest bill was down to $240. I'm not saying everyone should cancel their plan, your setup might be different. But has anyone else had a tech talk them out of their own company's service contract like that?

Did he say why he'd rather lose the service plan money than keep quiet about it? Guys usually don't turn down easy recurring cash unless the plan was mostly fluff to begin with.
