Dropped $900 on a plasma cutter I barely use, hand torch does the job faster
Honestly I thought buying a plasma cutter would speed up my rust repair work but after 6 months it just sits in the corner. The cheap 110v units cut through thin panels like butter compared to the heavy stuff I actually do on collision cars. I keep reaching for my $40 oxy torch because it handles brackets and suspension parts without dragging out the compressor. Anyone else shell out for shop equipment that ended up being overkill for their daily jobs, or am I the only one with a pricey paperweight?
