Had a facepalm moment with feathering compound today
I've been doing body work for like 8 years and always laid feathering compound on thick, then spent forever sanding it flat. Today a buddy watched me work and asked why I was fighting the sandpaper so hard. He showed me his method, three thin coats with a squeegee instead of one fat blob, and it cut my sanding time in half on a C-pillar repair in my shop near Akron. How many of you guys use multiple thin passes vs just slapping it on thick?
