My neighbor's kid backed into my truck bed rail 8 months ago so I figured the cheap rattle can job would flake off by spring. I prepped it with 80 grit and some wax and grease remover in my garage in Tucson, sprayed 4 coats, and that thing has taken gravel, mulch bags, and one very angry shovel without a chip. I've seen pro liners at the dealership peel in sheets within a year of light use. Now I'm wondering if the prep matters way more than whatever gun or brand gets used, because my finish is ugly but it's stuck like glue. Has anyone here actually tested a cheap liner against a spray-in one on the same truck?
