My mechanic said rotors don't need turning if they feel smooth, and now I'm second guessing every brake job quote
He told me shops upsell resurfacing on rotors that are still within 0.5mm of spec, and I realized I'd been paying for it on 3 different cars in Columbus without asking. How do you all decide when a rotor actually needs work versus when it's just a line item?
