Spent $120 on a set of those magnetic oil drain plug washers after a buddy swore by them, and they actually stopped a slow weep on my F-150 that I'd been chasing for a year.
Anyone else have a small fix that solved a big headache?

Saw a forum post where a guy fixed a weird engine tick just by swapping to a different brand of spark plug wires. Sometimes the simple stuff gets overlooked after you've checked all the complicated systems. Makes you wonder how many gremlins are just cheap parts failing in a weird way. Always feels good to nail one of those.

My buddy chased a rough idle on his truck for weeks, even replaced the fuel pump. Turns out it was just a bad tank of gas from a shady station. He put some cleaner in it and filled up somewhere else, problem gone. Felt pretty silly after all that. Goes to show the fix can be stupid simple even when you're sure it's something big.
