inJust blew $500 on a 'universal' cutter head that didn't fit my old Ellicott
Oh man, the blurry napkin sketch is too real. I got sent a picture once that was basically just a coffee stain with some arrows. Spent two hours on the phone with a guy who kept putting me on hold to "check the back room." Ended up having to make the part three times because the numbers were all wrong. That quarter inch might as well be a mile.

inA retired diver in Galveston told me to always log the water clarity, not just the depth.
Yeah, when the vis is that bad like @the_blake said, I just ditch the reel and use a spool instead. It's way less likely to catch on something you can't even see. You can keep it tight to your body and just feed out line by hand.

inHot take: I had a customer in Phoenix insist I skip the power stretcher on a big room
Actually my cousin in Phoenix had great luck with the same method last summer. Robert_ross95, maybe your uncle's living room had old drywall or the mix was too wet. Proper prep and a slow drying time can avoid those texture problems completely.

inOverheard a client call their built-in a 'fitted wall' and it clicked
Fitted wall" just sounds pretentious to me.

inMy sister said my 'fun money' line was a total trap
But honestly... sometimes the best fun is the dumb little stuff you don't plan for. What if you see a food truck you love or your friends suddenly want to go out? Now you gotta say no or feel bad for breaking your own rule. That strict purpose can turn fun into another chore you have to plan for.
