Showerthought: my brother in law talked me out of the cheapest bid for shipping his truck and I think he was right
He shipped his Tacoma from Phoenix to Portland last month and the $750 quote he almost signed tripled at pickup, so he paid $1,150 with a broker who actually answered the phone. Everyone in our family swears the lowest bid always wins, but hearing his story made me rethink that. How do you all spot the lowball quote before it turns into a headache?
