My neighbor in Austin convinced me to stop using 4x4s for every corner post

Read an article a while back about post sizing for fences... it basically said a 4x4 acts like a pivot point in strong wind. The extra wood in a 6x6 fights that twist way better. Makes total sense now seeing it in real life like your neighbor showed you. I'd never go back to using the smaller posts on a corner or a gate. The cost difference isn't even that big when you think about not having to redo the whole thing in a few years.

Update: I chose the manual process over the automation tool for my client's FAQ page and it ranked better in 3 months.

Didn't we all just want the quick fix before this?

Vent: My friend keeps saying 'they looked sincere' as their whole analysis

My old lab, Gus, had the perfect sad face down to a science. I found out the hard way that giving in just teaches them to turn it on like a light switch. Now I keep my eyes on the treat bag, not his face, when it's training time. It took about two weeks of being really boring and consistent for him to stop trying it with me. The eyes are powerful, but they're just one part of the conversation.

Spent $400 on a 'precision' mouse that wrecked my wrist after a week

Four hundred dollars for a mouse that hurts you is a special kind of robbery. Your boss gave you the only good advice I've ever heard a boss give. I've been using an Anker vertical mouse for two years of long work days and it's still perfect. The cheap ones are honestly just as good as the fancy brands for this.

I ran a phishing test on my team using a free template versus a custom one I wrote. The custom one caught 80% more people.

That's so true about generic stuff getting ignored. It's like those mass marketing emails everyone just deletes. But a text that looks like it's from a friend? People stop and read. Same with phone calls, a local number gets answered way more than some random 800 one. The personal touch breaks through the noise.
