I finally get why my old boss fired our biggest client
I was grabbing lunch at the Subway on 5th in Boise last month and ran into a guy I used to do subcontract work for. He mentioned he dropped a client that was paying him $6,500 a month because they called him every single day with small stuff. I always figured you keep the money and deal with it. Turns out he made more room for two smaller clients that never bugged him, and now I look at my own service contracts way different. Anyone else ever cut a paying client loose on purpose?
The part nobody talks about is how those daily calls mess with your head even after you hang up, so you end up half working on their stuff and half dreading the next text. Dumping a needy client is less about the hours and more about getting your brain back.
