Paid $400 for a CRM demo, the free spreadsheet did it better
Signed up for a flashy sales platform demo in March after their cold email promised it'd save me 10 hours a week. Turns out the call was just a 45-minute pitch, they wanted another $500 a month, and my old Google Sheet tracked clients just fine. Anyone else get burned by a trial that was really just a sales trap?

Buddy of mine sat through a similar thing last year. Paid for the trial, spent a week setting everything up, then they hit him with a fee to even export his own data. Went right back to his spreadsheet that afternoon.
