The goats on the Timberline Trail near Ramona Falls have zero respect for switchbacks
Hiked a 3 day loop out there and got followed by 6 goats who just cut straight up the slope while I did the switchbacks. Anyone else get stalked by livestock on a trail or is that just an Oregon thing?
The "zero respect for switchbacks" part got me laughing because it is so true. I did the same loop two summers ago and had a mama goat and her kid post up right on the trail while I ate lunch. They just stared at me like I was in their living room. I finally had to walk a wide circle around them and they didn't move an inch. At least yours were just cutting the slope instead of blocking the whole path.
