Ti-83 vs phone calculator: which one actually saved my grade in Mrs. Delgado's chem class?
Back in 2009 I did every chem problem on a Ti-83, plugging in numbers by hand and writing the steps out. Now my kid uses a phone app that scans the equation and shows the work, and I can't decide if that counts as math or not. One side says the app is a crutch and you learn nothing. The other side says the Ti-83 was the same shortcut with extra buttons. Where do you all land on this?
