My buddy in Tulsa swore the Chiefs were 'exposed' after one bad quarter, then I watched him delete the whole group chat rant
He posted a big paragraph at halftime of the Chiefs game in week 3 saying Mahomes was done, the defense was washed, and the whole run was over. I screenshotted it mostly as a joke, then checked back in 8 weeks and they were 9-1 and he had quietly deleted the whole thing. The funniest part is he still brings up his 'takes' like he called it right all along. Anyone else got a friend who makes these huge calls and never brings them up again once they're wrong?

My own version of that guy is me in my fantasy league group chat, where I have boldly predicted the same running back would break out for three straight years and he has rewarded me by getting hurt in week two every time. The trick is that nobody ever scrolls back far enough to catch you, so you just keep talking with your chest about the one call you got right. Your buddy probably thinks he is a genius, and honestly the deleted rant is the only honest thing he has ever posted.
