Rant: my uncle swore no QB has ever thrown for 5,000 yards, then my brother pulled up the list on his phone at Thanksgiving

We are all sitting around the table in Toledo and my uncle goes off about how the modern passing game is soft and nobody hits 5,000 yards because defenses are too fast now. My brother just quietly pulls up the stats and reads off like 10 names, Brees did it 5 times. Uncle does not back down, he says those seasons do not count because of the extra game and the rules protecting receivers. Now every family dinner somebody brings up the list on purpose just to watch him squirm. How do you argue with a guy who moves the goalposts every single time you show him the numbers?
